As an exceptional European tennis season comes to an end, leading to the North American summer swing, Zeljko Franulovic, the Director of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, has just announced the renewal of the agreement with the prestigious Swiss Watch Company Rolex, as Title Sponsor for the next five years.

“We are extremely pleased to pursue our collaboration with such a prestigious partner," said Zeljko Franulovic, the Director of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. "The fact that Rolex has been our Title Sponsor for the last three years has enabled our tournament to raise its level and increase its notoriety throughout the world.

"The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, which is currently experiencing enormous popularity, is living one of its most memorable moments in its very rich history.

"We are delighted to be able to continue to develop our centenary event in close collaboration with Rolex over the next five years and further reinforce its place in world tennis."

Organised by the SMETT (Société Monégasque pour l'Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis), the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters is the first European ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event, that opens the clay season.

On 17th April 2011, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal once again made his mark on the history of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters and the tennis world by becoming the first player in the Open Era (since 1968) to win a same tournament seven consecutive times in a row.

The 106th edition will be played from 14th to 22nd April 2012.
